Doug Miller took an Acleris at Westonzoyland on 27th March which I was fairly sure was umbrana. Bob Heckford looked at the specimen for me and confirmed my ID. This species may well be more widespread than previously thought in VC6. I've caught 9 here in Langport over the last 3 years.
The diagnostic feature is the tufts of raised wing scales (indicated by arrows in the second image).
