April has started much quieter than March finished in my garden with moth numbers being nearer what I would have expected. Last year I had 180 moths from 11 trappings in March. This year I had nearly 800 from the same number of nights. Four new moths last night including Chocolate Tip, which I didn't record last year, and two of the most common moths in the year to come, Flame Shoulder and Bright-line Brown-eye.
