'My' blackbirds have become a real problem - both male and female are at the trap before dawn, picking off anything outside the trap (with one or two exceptions - see below). I wonder if the UV light will harm their eyesight?
Yesterday morning they picked off several Hebrew Characters and Common Quakers, leaving a few wings on the ground, but seemed not to notice 4 Brimstone Moths which were sitting quite openly on the vegetation. They also ignored the 'bird droppings' - Chinese Character, Scorched Carpet, White Pinion-spotted and a Puss Moth.
