A big female Oak Eggar was in the trap this morning my first since July 2007. The only other highlight was my 6th Small Ranunculus. This species is said to like both wild and cultivated lettuce (UKmoths) so living just 270 metres from an allotments could be the reason for the good count.
On the micro front, only Bilberry Tortrix and Teleiodes luculella were new for the garden. The former needed confirming by dissection as it has no confirmed records for the Bristol Region (Moths of the Bristol Region).
