As I mentioned on the 12th, I have been keeping an eye on the 6-spot Burnet chrysalises. Today, so far, two moths have emerged intact, and one of them was nectaring on a nearby buttercup. Very pleasing, as the area where they are was under water in the Winter - good to know they've survived. On looking more closely, I have now located a total of 7 chrysalises, mostly on grass stems, but some on other plants. I find they're not all that easy to spot until one gets one's eye in.
