A further 16 moths and 3 species rounded up last evening - no FFY. I found an interesting-looking caterpillar on one of our silver birches yesterday (20th) - identified from Jim Porter's book as a Pebble Hook-tip. It seems to be well-developed for the time of year, a couple of weeks earlier than described in the book. So far this year the adult of this species hasn't appeared in my traps, but clearly is still around.
The mystery micro from 14th June has been determined by David Agassiz, to whom my thanks, as Paraswammerdamia albicapitella, a new species for this site.
The first Meadow Brown of the summer today (21st) - in the greenhouse !!
