Several Emperor moths attracted to a pheromone lure at Lydeard Hill on Wednesday. Difficult to be certain of total number but moths attracted at two locations with a maximum of four at any one time. I would think at least eight individuals but possibly as many as twelve or more. A strong breeze made it difficult for them to locate the lure when at close quarters and most didn't stop long before shooting off downwind. For some reason one of them settled and didn't move all the time we were there.
