I ran five traps in Great Breach Wood leaving site around midnight, temperature held up to 11 degrees but there was a bit of a breeze. Total of 338 moths of 25 species which for the time of year and conditions was a bit disappointing but considering how late the Spring is perhaps on reflection it was a decent effort. Certainly nice to be among moths again. Acleris cristana was new to me and Ypsolopha mucronella was first I've recorded in the UK. A nice fresh Barred Tooth-striped was welcome as were only my 2nd and 3rd ever Dotted Chestnut but perhaps the biggest surprise was a Scorched Carpet!
