Whilst out walking today a moth landed at my feet that I did not recognise. I had excellent views of it through close focus binoculars and it was about the size of a Dingy Footman When I tried to identify in Waring et al the only one that was similar was the extinct spotted Sulphur. Waring mentions that it could be mistaken for a micro moth but doesn't say what species so I cannot check them out. Can any one help me out with Id. Think of a Spotted Sulphur with a vertical half of a figure 8 and orange shading on the leading edge of its forewing.
