Somerton Court is a 17th century Manor House, with its porch dated 1641, and Regency and late Victorian alterations and additions.
The Lynch, now the Lynch Hotel, is an Adam-style three-bay villa.

Discoveries on the Ilchester-Barrington Pipeline

Thursday, October 14th at 7.30 p.m.in the Blake Museum Bridgwater
Cotswold Archaeology carried out excavations in 2006 ahead of the installation of a gas pipeline between Ilchester & Barrington. The main discovery was a Neolithic causewayed enclosure – the first of this type to be found in Somerset. It was associated with a long enclosure of slightly later date, c3200B.C.
